Random House will be publishing a book documenting Antony Gormley’s One & Other. The book won’t be available until October 2010 but if you pre-order it now you can purchase it at a discounted price of £19.95 (retail price £35).

This 700-page book will document this unique project in great detail. It will contain photographs by both professional photographers and the plinthers themselves, as well as a portrait of each participant. The Wellcome Trust is giving the editors unprecedented access to the project’s documentation, and they will be working in conjunction with Sky Arts to sift through all 2400 hours of footage. The book will contain essays by playwright Lee Hall, by sociologist Richard Sennett and art historian Hans Ulrich Obrist. There will also be essays by anthropologists and psychoanalysts, as well as snippets of interviews held with the plinthers themselves. This book is not just a document of the project: it will capture the way in which One & Other tapped into the public consciousness to become one of the most important pieces of public art of our time.

Once again a BIG thanks as we all together raised near £800 for the two charities.

We spent this Christmas with The French Tart and Mr Bean and their two wee French winkies David and Anne Cecile.

OLD FART won the battle of the cheeses. He got all his five cheeses correct while Mr Bean only got 2 out of five “RUBBISH”!

Christmas Eve was a riot of Moon boot dancing.

We had a great time celebrating with all the OLD FRENCH  FROGS.

Anne Cecile took us to meet new friends TARIK he is living with Charlotte Bernardini.

We met several other new friends. Two lads in  the Cafe De Nuit in Arles where Vincent Van GOGH used to get pissed with his buddies.

While we were in Martigues it was Mr Bean’s birthday so of course we had a party. It was held at the Buffalo Grill.
