Samantha and Michaela Kendall

I saw them often
And every time I saw them
There was less of them to see
They saw me as I saw them
Identical to the last shoulder blade
They moved in sync as if conveying
Bones to the bone yard
Skin taught opaque
Like two closed pearls of wisdom
Two raised sunken faced bony chests
Of unopened treasure
Eyes working in unison
As they peered at me above highly rouged cheeks
They slide past me like phantoms
They knew that they interested me
All of life interests me
Now they are real ghosts
Locked together forever in sinuous spirit
Wasted away
Wasted far away
